Just because you buy a shirt to go out in, doesn't mean it should only be showcased out on the town with friends. The beauty of great staple pieces is that you can work them with different pieces and accessories and they can be used for different, versatile occassions. Black V-neck top? Pair it with an oxford for Sunday chapter? Get creative, and you'll find that most of your pieces don't need to be a one type of event piece (except for maybe you shortest tiniest, cut-out black bodycon dress... that I haven't figured out a good way yet to wear to Nonnis...)
