Fall Stomping Grounds

'Tis the season for leaves on the ground and cold days and nights which can only mean ONE thing.... BOOTS BOOTS AND MORE BOOTS.
So it may be true that I do have a slighhhhht obsession with boots, but I mean who can blame me?  Finding the perfect pair of boots that you sketch and dream about in your head is quite like any other feeling that only  you fashionistas like me can relate to.  Each new fall season it seems to be a new pair/ style of boots are totally in.  Fall '10: over the knee boots, Fall '11 Lace up boots, Fall '12 the cute and classic bootie.  Although, new fashions always come in, it seems these boots of the past season are always in season.
Boots are not only appropriate for the season, but they are so versatile too.  Over pants, leggings, with skirts dresses... etc; oh the possibilities are endless!
I have put together different possibilities to work with it, which I know you all will WORK it wellllllll.

Over-the-knee Boots: From $80-400

Mid-Calf Boots: From $30-390

1.) Tory Burch  2.) Aldo 3.) Windsor 4.) DSW 5.) DSW 6.) Urban Outfitters

Lace-Up Boots: From $25-190

Booties: (Extra booties because I just love em) $29.90-$225

Comfy BUT Cute: $75-290

Hope you all got shoe inspired!  Let us know your favorite looks and style!

Fashion News: Victoria's Secret Helps with Sandy Relief

Sandy's Unknown Hero: Victoria's Secret Saves The National Guard
vsangel
Victoria's Secret has its place: in your underwear drawer, mixed into the occasional Halloween costume, and a must-visit on your latest shopping spree. But in a disaster zone? Well, apparently, the underwear giant came to the rescue in NYC during a dark moment for the National Guard, as the military reserve force dealt with Hurricane Sandy recovery.

The brand had brought eight 500-kilowatt generators downtown to prepare for the annual televised Victoria's Secret fashion show, but ended up handing them over to the National Guard at 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning to provide heat, hot water, and power to the 69th Infantry Regiment headquarters. In possibly the century's best quote, Captain Brendan Gendron said, "We were dead in the water until Victoria’s Secret showed up."

The National Guard was still without reliable cell service and completely out of an Internet connection, which is very important in its efforts to coordinate rescue missions. So, the VS team came to the rescue again! It had already organized some kind of fancy broadcasting connection via a microwave dish for the show, and VS graciously allowed the Guard to use that, as well. The phrase "Victoria's Secret Angel" just took on a whole new meaning. (NYMag)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN from a Fashionista like YOU!

TODAY is the day! The weeks of preparing of your costume either with your boy, yourself or friends has finally all come into play (or if you are like me, the 24 hrs of planning at the most).  Halloween is such a fun time to get together with friends and think of something cute and creative.  My friends and I always dress up as something together ever since high school when we used to win most creative EVERY year!

I am extra excited for this year of Halloween since I was in Spain last year and not everyone really dresses up like we do.  Try not to follow the Mean Girls motto of just wearing lingerie and throwing on some cat ears, I promise you can do A LOT better than that!

Here are some cute, easy and stylish outfits I found either on Lauren Conrad, Pinterest or my own personal collection!!

Lauren Conrad as a Flapper-- this can be so fun!

SOOOO creative! Fifty Shades of Gray

Love this--- Franzia

Peanut butter and jelly!

Book worms!

Haloween 2010 with my roommates.  I wore a sign saying "Too much Vacca" ha ha get it?

The girls older than me were all characters our of Dr. Seuss books, so adddddorable

Halloween 2010, we were all zombies!!

High school favorite--- traffic light

Got to love the Britney Spears costumes

There were a lot more crayons than just us-- super fun, easy, cheap and cute!
Lauren Conrad as Mary Poppins

This was from high school with my five best friends--- we were PEPTO BISMOL. Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach and diarrhea! HA HA so funny to look back on but explains us so well.  We sang the song all day long in school and had the best time!

Taco Bell Sauces YUMMM

Audrey Hepburn- Breakfast at Tiffanys
Lauren Conrad as a ghost

Classic and cute-- rock paper scissors

My personal favorite, I mean how can it not be!!

What are you being for Halloween?  Which costumes are your favorite! Let us know--

Have so much fun tonight and remember to always be a fashionista!

Stand up to Hurricane Sandy!

So most of you may know that not only am I from New Jersey but I am MORE than damn proud to be from Jersey.  I live at the shore right over the bridge from Seaside so my town and where I have spent my whole life has taken a big beating.  It is so hard to be so far away watching everything you love be destroyed.  Seaside's boardwalk and beaches are nearly gone and it breaks my heart.  I am so blessed to not only live in Jersey but live where most people take their summer vacations.  This town has brought me nothing but joy, happiness, amazing memories and love for the best 21 years.  I know we will all get through this together because that is just how Jersey does it.  Please keep everyone affected by this hurricane in your prayers.

You can like the "Help Rebuild Seaside Heights" Facebook page here to learn how to help give back.  My sorority and I are also thinking of ways to raise money and I will be sure to post back ideas and ways here.

To also give all of you fashionista's like me whose heart has been breaking more and more, watch this video that my favorite band from home Wild Rompit (one of my best friend's boyfriends is the singer) put together to remind us we can all get through this together, and get our perfect beach town back to everything we know and love.

So much love to you JERZ, NJ all day.

On another note... I can't just leave you all with out showing the brighter side to a situation, and that brighter side can only mean FASHION.  I have put together three looks to still look like a diva even with 55 mph ( I mean I wouldn't suggest going outside, but you know what I mean).  So these outfits are for your rainy days when all you feel like is dressing like a bum so you're comfortable. All these outfits are beyond comfortable and stylish!

Tips:
-I always like to wear layers through rain storms, that case if the rain seeps through your rain jacket, you can shed layers to still stay warm.
- Leggings are the best thing to wear in the rain.  You don't want to wear jeans because they stick to you, and you don't want to wear anything bulky because it is hard to tuck them into your rain boots.
-Speaking of rain boots, they don't have to be a fashion NO NO.  There are thousands of cute stylish boots you can get, so just keep your eyes open!
- Snazz up your boots by wearing high socks, leg warmers or tights-- or even socks/ leg warmers with tights!!
- Wear closed bags, that way you won't have any water sneaking through.

Now let's take these tips to action....

Boots: Hunter Jacket: North Face- Macys Back pack: Urban Outfitters
Vest: Indressme Leggings: Etsy Turtle neck: Mango
Dress: Urban Outfitters Tights: Free People
Leg Warmers: Etsy Rain Boots: Burberry

Sweater: Udobuy Leggings: Topshop Rain boots: Welikefashion.com
Umbrella: Alexander McQueen Scarf: Selected Femme Coat: Udobuy

Thanks for checking out the post!
Prayers and love to everyone back home and everyone else affected by the storm.

Style on even through the Rain!

Rent the Runway's REAL Runway

Rent The Runway just launched an awesome new feature on renttherunway.com called Our Runway-- it's platform to celebrate, share and rent luxury fashion as seen on real women. It allows women to rent looks based on user-generated photos of real women with similar body types.
You use a device called "Women Like Me" and you type in your height, weight, bust, usual size and age.  This will generate photos of people that look like you so you can see what the dresses actually look like on you! Although, all the models are beautiful, we are all not 6'5'' weighing 120 pounds.  Yes, that is nice, but there are other body types and when I say other I mean ALL other body types are equally as beautiful and are deserved to be modeled and gawked upon.  This is a really great feature and initiative and I hope you all get to try it out!

If you want to rent dresses use the code: Louboutin130062 for great deals!!
